Having two grandmothers from Naples, there was no way I could avoid good food. Angelina and Nutziatta always loved to cook. They knew how because they fed my 22 aunts and uncles all the time. I think those two great Napolitana women rarely ventured out of the house.Never cooked with any measurements. It was always a pinch and a pound for any recipe. And they rarely used salt. Their food was...

Market City Caffe has a warm atmosphere and is a great place to get a Italian meal. You have a lot of options, including pizza, pasta, meat, seafood and salads. The restaurant is conveniently close to the AMC movie theater and the Burbank Town Center. There is a patio where you can enjoy the wonderful Southern California weather as you watch people walk by.

Reliable Restaurant

Market City Cafe is a nice restaurant. It's good for kids, parties, working lunches, etc. The gimmick is the glass filled with fresh breadsticks. Market City has a good selection of pasta, pizza and salads and it's pleasant enough. Prices are reasonable, service is good and the restaurant is nice, but it just feels a little impersonal. However, I eat there at least once a week, so I can't complain. (Edited March 22, 2007)

Great lunch place

We keep coming back to this place for lunch. I have low expectations for a chain-restaurant (even if it's a very small chain), but I'm positively surprised every time we go here. The specials are yummy and they post the prices on the board with them.

Extra bonus: rather than running back and forth with refills every 5 minutes (I'm thirsty!), they give you a pitcher of icetea. Yay!

great for pasta

As simple as this place is, I really like it. The servers are nice, the prices are reasonable and the food is really good. Fresh bread, fresh pasta - I seem to be stuck ordering the rotelle with cream sauce. Mmm.

Market City Caffe Restaurant Review

Situated near Burbank Town Center, this family-run Italian caffè features a casual atmosphere and hearty Italian cooking. If you order antipasto, you’re entitled to unlimited trips to the antipasto bar, for bruschetta with smoked mozzarella, roma tomatoes and balsamic vinegar; prosciutto di Parma with melon; and clams cooked in wine, parsley and garlic, among other delicacies. Wood-fired dishes...

The breadsticks are fabulous! The food was delicious. It was difficult making a decision as everything looked and sounded so good. I totally eyed everyone else's choices. I will definitely be going back. The waitstaff were friendly. Did I mention those breadsticks?? They are handmade...
