The food is great. The view from the deck is awesome. You can see a 360 view of city lights and have a nice dinner with family or date.
We had our wedding reception here before it burned down (and was rebuilt). The view is still spectacular and the food above average. You'll need to try different things to see what tastes best but I sometimes feel like it can go either way.
Regardless of the food, my wife and I always love coming back here every year to celebrate our anniversary and get away from it all.
If you'd like to rent one of the banquet halls, make sure to book it as far in advance as possible because this place seems to be always booked months in advance (especially weekends).

Two words...Victor and Maria.These two offer the best guest experience I've ever had ANYWHERE!!! The guest experience combined with a wide array of options from the buffet makes this place unbeatable! Victor is the best when it comes to drink selection and customer service. Love the location and view. Hate the menu. More at happy hour. The food choices at happy hour are terrible if they exist at all. What a waste of a view. Keep it simple with some fun light finger foods is all that's needed and how about making the drink menu really a reflection on happy hour. I won't be back until this improves.

Well I am on the castaway for Easter I love the place the view is awesome came here for brunch on Sunday even when the restaurant looks pretty crowded we only have to wait like 15 min to get seated the sushi bar is pretty short like only 4 kinds of sushi nothing special about it I really love the seafood bar had like a huge salmon fish ready to eat baked looks soooo good but wasn't the service...
I went to Castaway a couple of times for Mother's Day. They have a great buffet and it's actually tasty. The inside is very nice and the outside has a great view of the city of Burbank.
Ours was a last minute reservation to celebrate our 35th anniversary. Our grandson arrived earlier than expected, and our plans changed. Staff was gracious, professional, and efficient. Dinner was delightful. They even treated us to complementary champagne. Highly recommended.

One of my favorite destinations. Romantic when needed, fun family when needed, good times with friends always. Great food, awesome buffet. Wheelbarrows to cart you out after the buffet is not included.

Always thought that the food here was overrated. It is made for mass consumption at weddings and big parties. The only reason to go up here is for a special event and/or the amazing views.

Ok food, but spectacular views. We love to go to the weekend brunch, which can be somewhat pricey at $30/pp, but good for special occasions. The buffet lunch has many options, although the quality is just ok. I love the dessert bar and cappuccinos.

But i had bad experience in the service generally very bad, I did a reservation but still I wait to get my table, the service was terrible, cold food and the meat what i got it wasn't term as I ordered, "extra cooked" and I got mid well, honestly the place is very nice to have that kind of service to the customer.

Beautiful location but understaffed with very little and slow service. Tables were not cleaned promptly which left the restaurant a sea of dirty dishes and other trash. Spent a small fortune for brunch which was definitely not worth it. Last time there was 15 years ago. Pleasant memories then but this time a thumbs down.

Fab panoramic views of L.A. from the vast restaurant terrace. Perhaps the best time to come is right before sunset. Photo op! Good for large groups or even just dinner-for-two. Only thing is that it's a bit of a trek up the mountainside and just a little out of the way; still it's not too bad, and it's not an arduous drive if you have some time to spare.
Greatly exceeded my expectation. They realized my guests were from out of town, and gave is a window seat without asking. Service was awesome-- friendly yet very attentive. The food was uniformly excellent, and a good value (waiter up-sized the appetizer at no charge because there were 4 of us).
I have been to tons of buffets and unlimited mimosas for Sunday Brunch but this restaurant by far is the best! Amazing view, you can sit outside or next to the window. The service is terrific, everyone is very attentive and then food quality is alot better than the ones Ive been too which remain nameless lol. I first went back in March for a brunch for my friends birthday and decided I would go back this past Sunday for my own birthday! I had a blast!! I hear they have Martini Mondays, might have to look into that! =)

We ordered the sampler appetizer and the calamaris came out in a clump with the inner portion FROZEN. Ther service was lackluster, though nice server, not very skilled or experienced.

Don't Valet Here – This place is to be avoided because of the awful valet, and valet is mandatory at night. They put a huge dent on my driver's side door and panel, which I didn't see at the restaurant because they held the door open for me so that I would not see the accident. I noticed it as soon as I got out of my car at home but it was too late! Of course they refused to pay for it because I didn't assess the damage before leaving the restaurant. TREMENDOUS IMPROVEMENT – Under new management hasn't meant so much in a long time. We walked in and were seated immediately, this didn't happen the last few times we visited Castaways. The food was great. The new Manager visited our table, always keeping an eye on the service provided throughout the restaurant.

Great experience – I had the lunch buffet today (Sat.) and it was fantastic. There was more food than I could ever eat and the all of the food was excellent.
