The Smoke House is like an old country club-club house and is meant to be. It is a grand tradition where movie studio...

"An institution for the studio set", this "legendary" Burbank steakhouse "hasn't changed a bit" since 1946 and "continues to shine" with "strong" martinis and "addictive", "mysteriously Day-Glo orange garlic bread" tendered alongside "decent" cuts; it's "sorta pricey", but most find it worth it thanks to the "entertaining" servers and overall "old-school charm."

Smokehouse-A Hidden Treasure

We have been going to the Smokehouse for over 25 years and we have never been disappointed by the food or the service. There cheese bread is notoriously great and we have brought some to take home, but it never makes it. A great place for a special evening or dinner.

Time didn't just stop at this 1950s Burbank steakhouse; it died from all the cheesy bread. This is thick-cut stuff, laced with funky garlic and welded together with cheese. From your sunken position inside a slick red vinyl booth, it can be hard to see over the piles and piles of cheesy bread to the grilled steaks and fatty cuts of prime rib that have kept The SmokeHouse in business for more...

Tips about this business (7) view all

I love the old-school feel of this restaurant, which has been around since 1946. It's dark with the red vinyl booths and specializes in prime rib, burgers, salmon and other basic dishes ripped out of the 1950s and '60s. No matter what you get, you have to try the garlic cheese bread to make the trip complete.

Save Money: Studio workers save 10 percent or more on selected entrees weekdays from 4pm to 7pm.
