Good food

I really like the food and the service is not bad, but they don't actually deliver and instead you have to call a separate company, and pay extra in order to have them deliver the way they promised.

Must go here when visiting NBC or Warner Bros. Studios

Ate here first time about 6 yrs ago and loved it. It is right across the street from NBC and I had just come out of a taping of Tonight Show and was starving. Peruvian sounded interesting so I gave this little unassuming place a try. Yesterday I came back with my wife after doing the tours again and it...

My first choice whenever I am in Burbank. Get the Pollo Saltado, it is delicious.

The food is excellent. The place is small , parking lot is small. Worth it if you want good Peruvian food.

Can't compare this place with other Peruvian food joints, but a fairly good effort.

Great food that keeps you coming back for more

As a rule, I go to Choza Mama for my lunch break at least once a month.
Their Seco de Carne never disappoints!
I usually have it ordered for takeout and the service is always very good.
When you go, don't forget to order a side of Platano Frito & Papa a la Huancaina.

Choza Mama in Burbank is very much fast food oriented. (In fact, the restaurant is referred to on their website as "Choza Mama Express".) You order your food at the front counter then pick it up when your number is called on a loudspeaker (read: no table service). The food is served on trays with plastic plates and utensils - nary a piece of hardware in sight.

Skip it.. I don't recommend this place because the food is just OK, the service is poor, and the restaurant itself is small and dingy like an old, old fast-food dive. The food itself was overly salty, the fries were stale, and the meat was below average quality. Styrofoam cups, plastic plates, and no air conditioning made for a regretful experience. Oh, and I didn't appreciate having to ASK for...

good, fresh food. delicious rice. good portions. easy parking access although some times fills up.

Great

Way Too Salty. I had a plate of Grilled Sole with Peruvian Sauce, I chose white rice and salad for my side items. I'd say my meal was ok if the fish was not unbelievable salty. I am still thirsty 3 hours later after a bottle of diet coke and 24 oz of water. My co-workers also complained the same thing.

If you are looking for delicious Peruvian food Choza Mama is the place to go! The food is SO fresh flavorful and actually authentic! Which is hard to find. The portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. Choza mama has a great ambiance and decor and is extremely clean. The service is always fast and the staff is super nice and helpful with suggesting dishes. Everything is soooo...

I eat here quite a bit. Very tasty food. Very good atmosphere and service. The location on old town pasadena is excellent as well.

Choza Mama Burbank has great fast food. I love peruvian food and I had never seen a fast food version before. I was shocked at how good this...

MMM is all you need to hear. DE-LICIOUS food! They've got a great family atmosphere and we're never disappointed when we eat there.

Choza mama....good food!! Eat it!!! Eat...eat...eat!!!

Peruvian food - different range of spices than other Latin American.

great addition to san gabriel's eclectic range of eats maybe best peruvian in the city

Very fun place.

best peruvian

Great chance to discover a bit of Peru in Pasadena. Tasty dishes are exotic because they're sort of latin but not Mexican. That's exotic for So Calif.

The wraps are fantastic, and who can live without fried plantains? Can be a little pricey, but one dish is plenty to split.

Enjoyable introduction to Peruvian food. Chicken with walnut sauce a must.

Been here a million times I love it.

This place is horrible.Worst Peruvian food I have ever had the food was very salty. If you really wanna eat real good Peruvian food you gotta go to Mario's on Melrose & Vine that's real Peruvian food....

Delicious food, awesome service. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone. Peruvian food is one of the best!

A great little, casual lunch spot if you want something different from the usual uninspiring California blandification of ethnic cuisines. Although I have no idea how authentic this Peruvian fare is, I really dig it. It's cooked to order, tasty, flavorful and rather fulfilling. So far the best I've had is the Tallarin de Mariscos (fettucine noodles with seafood) and...

My husband is Peruvian and his family and I will go there for some really delicious, fast traditional Peruvian Dishes. They are priced right and the dishes they serve up are really tasty. The downside is we go there often enough to know that there isn't much friendly service. Sometimes even get attitudes and their menu doesn't make sense especially if you've never eaten Peruvian food and don't...

Nice surprise

Great portions and wonderful taste - good $$$ value. Ordered the lunch chicken meal - marvelous! Couldn't even eat it all! More than enough. Clean bathrooms in a part of town not known for that - Which makes a customer like me appreciate it all the more!

The absolute nastiest peruvian food I have ever had. If you love oil slicked food and waiting around forever have at it. I'm stunned anyone could enjoy this place. The location is decent and so is the parking but thats about it.

Peruvian food is going to be big

Go try tis place. I loved it. I recommend the saltados, or the grilled fish. Well its all I have tried so far, but it was Great. Can't wait to go back and try something else.

Have you tried Choza mama? You Should.: I just tried this place on the corner of Alameda and Olive. I went with my wife we had a Lomo Saltado Wrap and some of thier Rotisserie Chicken. WoW!...

My friend and I went to Burbank to watch a taping at NBC. Afterward we went across the street to get something to eat and we decided to try Choza Mama. I had the Aji de Gallina, I think that?s how it?s spelled. Anyways it was Amazing. My friend had the 1/4 chicken it was also delicious, and the sauce that they give you to dip in was sooo good. I can't wait till I am in Burbank again. I crave...

omg!

Food was good. But when I was tasting my chicken suddenly a woman came to me and without any invitation sit with me and started to ask loudly how the food was, and a slew of personal questions. Well next time I'll order just for pick up.

Soooo Tasty!

The food at this Peruvian Restuarant is awesome!! It has just the right amount of spices and flavor to make it your new favorite cuisine. I highly suggest it and if you stop by you should definetly try their traditional Pollo Saltado plate, it was sooo tasty. This new restaurant has certainly become one of my favorite restaurants. If you have a chance to visit it let me know what other dishes...

“If you can’t get to Machu Picchu”, try this low-cost duo for “unique” Peruvian plates conveyed by a “happy” crew; live music on the weekends livens things up at the more “pleasant” Pasadena location, while Burbank is a popular stop for take-out rotisserie chicken.
